HON. I. D LALU INAUGURATES COMMITTEES FOR FERTILIZER DISTRIBUTION, CHARGED THEM TO COME UP WITH AN ALL-INCLUSIVE LIST WITHIN ONE WEEK.

In a bid to promote inclusive development and ensure equall distribution within Mangu/Bokkos federal constituency, Hon. I.D LALU, the esteemed representative, has announced the establishment of committees comprising diverse stakeholders, irrespective of party affiliations, tasked with distributing fertilizer to farmers within the constituency. These committees, representing the varied interests of the constituency, have been entrusted with compiling lists of beneficiaries each, as part of an initiative aimed at engaging and empowering constituents, following the mandate given in the last General election.

Comprising members from 30 federal wards within the constituency, each committee includes representatives from key sectors such as development associations, youth groups, women’s organizations, party leadership, and community stakeholders. Hon. I.D LALU stressed the importance of inclusivity in decision-making processes, underscoring the value of collective input in driving sustainable development initiatives.

As the committees commence their respective mandates, the focus remains on fostering collaboration, transparency, and accountability, with the overarching aim of advancing the socio-economic well-being of the Mangu/Bokkos federal constituency.

QUA’AN PAN LGC TIC CHAIRMAN VISITS VICTIMS OF ATTACK IN KAYARDA VILLAGE IN NAMU, DISTRICT.

–IMPLORES SECURITY AGENCIES TO ENSURE PERPETRATORS ARE BROUGHT TO JUSTICE.

Transition Implementation Committee Chairman of Qua’an Pan Local Government Council Christopher Audu Manship has visited Kayarda village in Namu following, an attack by unknown gunmen.
The attack claimed the lives of innocent citizens and property destroyed.

Manship who was accompanied by top Council management, Security Chiefs in the Local Government Area visited the village where he commiserated with them.
He assured that security agencies are already working round the clock to unravel those behind the heinous crime.
The unknown gunmen reportedly raided the Kayarda community on Tuesday night seventh May, two thousand and twenty Four, killing four persons and leaving many others injured.

The Chairman who condemned the attack, ordered security agents to swiftly go after the perpetrators, arrest and punish them.
He noted that his administration will not allow criminal elements to create more pain and hardship for inhabitants of the locality.

The Chairman called on citizens of the area to provide security agents with necessary information that will lead to the arrest of the perpetrators.
He noted that his administration is committed to ensuring the peace and security of the people.

Manship appealed for calm and understanding of those affected , urging them not to take laws into their hands.
He assured that he will not rest until the perpetrators are found and made to face the full wrath of the law.

He commiserated with families of the deceased and those who got injured in the attack.

The Village Head of Kayarda said the people are still in shock and grief over the unfortunate incident.
He appealed to government at all levels and public-spirited individuals as well as corporate organizations, to come to the aid of his people.

Nigeria Police Force Empowers Widows, Persons with disabilities in Bauchi State

The Nigeria Police Force has empowered hundreds of widows and persons with disabilities in Bauchi State. This according to the force was to offer assistance and support to the beneficiaries as they strive towards making a better future for themselves and their families. This empowerment was done in partnership with the Beautiful Gate Handicapped People’s Center Jos and Azumi Danat Foundation.

This was disclosed by the National President of the Police Officers Wives Association (POWA) and wife of the Inspector General of the Nigeria Police Force Dr Mrs Elizabeth Egbetokun during a Two-Day Familiarization Visit and Launch of an Empowerment Scheme held at the Police Training School Bauchi on Tuesday 17th April, 2024.Azumi Danat of Azumi Danat Foundation and Chief Ayuba Burki Gufwan of Beautiful Gate Handicapped People’s Center Jos

In her remarks, the POWA President, Dr Mrs Elizabeth Egbetokun appreciated the Executive Director of the Beautiful Gate Handicapped People’s Center Jos, Chief Ayuba Burki Gufwan for supporting the empowerment scheme with 150 Tricycle-wheelchairs, 40 sets of Crouches, 40 Walking Frames, and 40 Walking Sticks. She also appreciated the Head of the Azumi Danat Foundation and Wife of Air Vice Marshal D.N Danat of the Nigerian Airforce, Mrs Azumi Danat for her role in the empowerment.

The POWA President commended the beneficiaries for their unwavering commitment and steadfastness despite difficult challenges.

“Today marks not just a gathering, but a celebration of strength, unity and empowerment, as we are here to honor the wives of the late police officers and the less privileged individuals whose unwavering courage and resilience embodied the very spirit of perseverance. In the face of adversity. These remarkable women have endured hardships, face challenges, and yet have emerged stronger and more determined than ever.”



“To the wives of our fallen heroes, your sacrifices have not gone unnoticed. Your unwavering support, bravery and unwavering dedication to your families and communities serve as a beacon of hope for us all. Despite the unimaginable loss you have endured, you have shown remarkable resilience, standing tall in the face of adversity and continuing to uphold the legacy of your loved ones.”

“To the less privileged amongst us, your perseverance in the face of hardship is testament to the human spirit’s indomitable strength. The POWA President restates her commitment and that of the association to continue to support members and the less privileged. “Through various empowerment programs, educational initiatives, and vocational training opportunities, POWA is committed to providing you with the tools and resources you need to thrive and succeed. As we stand on the edge of a new chapter, let us reaffirm our commitment to supporting one another, lifting each other up and building a brighter, more inclusive future for all. Together, we have the power to overcome any obstacle, break down barriers and create positive change.”

Items distributed include sewing machines, grinding machines, hair dryers, deep freezers, refrigerators and food items and other items which were received by hundreds of jubilant and grateful beneficiaries.
She charged the beneficiaries of the tricycle-wheelchairs not to sell them but put them into purposeful use.

Shortly after handing over the 150 Tricycle-wheelchairs, 40 sets of Crouches, 40 Walking Frames and walking sticks, the Executive Director of Beautiful Gate Handicapped People’s Center Jos,
Chief Ayuba Burki Gufwan emphasized the need for all stakeholders to get involved in the rehabilitation of polio survivors, haven eradicated the disease.

He appreciated the Nigerian Police Force also for their role in the eradication of the pandemic. He noted that there were times polio workers were killed in some Northern parts of the country and it took the intervention of the police in providing security to polio eradication workers.

Addressing the beneficiaries, the Chief Gufwan challenged all beneficiaries to put the donated items to good use, especially for the intended purpose, while cautioning them not sale the mobility appliances.

The empowerment was attended by the Wife of the Bauchi State Governor represented by the wife of the Deputy Governor of Bauchi State Hajiya Asma’u Jatau, the Commissioner of Police Bauchi State Command,  C.P Auwal Musa Muhammad, the Bauchi State Chairperson of POWA and wife of the Commissioner of Police Bauchi State Hajiya Binta Auwal Musa, Members of the Bauchi State Government and other important dignitaries.

Gbong Gwom Jos Da Jacob Gyang Buba Harps on Purposive Unity as Berom in Riyom LGA Celebrates Nzem Berom

The Gbong Gwom Jos and Chairman Plateau State Council of Chiefs and Emirs, His Majesty Da Jacob Gyang Buba CRF has urged the Berom Nation to be more united and avoid divisive tendencies if progress and development are to be achieved in the Land.
The Paramount Ruler also enjoined the people to always prioritise God and put their trust in him no matter the situations they may find themselves.
He stressed the place of God in human endeavours and how seriously the Berom Nation should take God considering their experiences especially the insecurity that is bedeviling it.
He made these disclosures at the 2024 Nzem Berom Riyom/Aboro which held at Riyom Local Government Headquarters on 25th April, 2024.
The Royal Father stressed the place of purposive unity to the progress and development of the Berom Nation, Plateau State and Nigeria at large.
Earlier in his welcoming remarks, Dagwom Rwey (District Head) of Riyom, His Royal Highness Da Samuel Jok expressed delight over the occasion which he described as historic. He appreciated the Citizens for their commitment towards a better and greater Berom Nation.

Deputy Governor of Plateau State Ngo Josephine Piyo who spoke through a Representative, Senator Pam Mwadkon, former Senate Minority Leader Sen. Simon Mwadkwon/Chairman of the Central Planning Committee of the 2024 Nzem Berom Cultural Festival, Da Dachollom Jambol Chairman Berom Elders Forum, Da Gyang Dudu President Berom Educational and Cultural Organization (BECO),The Transition Implementation Committee Chairman Riyom Local Government Council/Chairman Nzem Berom Riyom/Aboro Local Organizing Committee (LOC) Hon. Sati Shuwa, Rt. Hon. Timothy Dantong former Deputy Speaker of Plateau State House of Assembly, Da Silas Bot, Commissioner of Higher Education Plateau State Dr. Kachollom Gang, Member Federal House of Representatives Hon. Engr. Dalyop Fom Chollom in their separate remarks lauded the initiative of celebrating Nzem Berom and urged the Citizens to be more united and always protect the interest of the Berom Nation.

Cultural Dance Groups across the the Local Government and Aboro thrilled the Guests with their live performances.

Special prayer for peace and bumper harvest was made by Rev. John Nash even as the Gbong Gwom Jos poured royal blessings on the People and Berom Land to prosper.

Highlights of the event were the official launching of the tree planting Campaign by the Royal Father His Majesty Da Jacob Gyang Buba, Medical Outreach, paying of royal homage by all Districts to the Gbong Gwom Jos and Acha Pounding Competition.

Transition Committee Chairman of Riyom Local Government Council Sati Shuwa has described cultural festivals as a veritable platforms to promote peace, unity amongst diverse ethnic groups in Nigeria.

The Chairman made this known at the 2024 Nzem Berom, Riyom and Aboro cultural festival.

The event which was held at the Government Secondary School, Riyom was attended by dignitaries including the Deputy Governor of Plateau State, Ngo Josephine Piyo, His Royal Majesty, Da Jacob Gyang Buba CON, Gbong Gwom Jos, and Chairman Plateau State Council of Chiefs and Emirs, Senator Pam Dachungyan, former Senate Minority leader Simon Mwadkwon, Member representing Barkin-Ladi and Riyom Federal Constituency Fom Dalyop, BECO President Worldwide Da Gyang Dudu, Exco and the entire Riyom and Aboro sons and daughters who stormed the venue in specially curated traditional attire.

Sati Shuwa who is the Chairman Local Organizing Committee said the festival provided the people the opportunity to celebrate their diverse traditions , foster unity and strengthen bonds of friendships in the society.

The Chairman noted that the festival is unique hence the need for all Berom people to cherish and preserve their culture and tradition.

The Council Chairman reiterated his administration’s commitment to promoting cultural activities having recognized that such events promotes unity, peaceful coexistence among people irrespective of their cultural background.

Sati Shuwa appreciated the Executive Governor of Plateau State Bar. Caleb Mutfwang for appointing sons and daughters of Riyom Local Government into various positions in his administration and urged citizens of the area to continue to give the Governor the necessary support to enable him to succeed.

Terrorists Dies a Natural Death Two Weeks After His Release By Security Agents In Bokkos.

TERRORIST DIES A NATURAL DEATH TWO WEEKS AFTER HIS RELEASE BY SECURITY AGENTS IN BOKKOS.

Jibrin Musa, the Terrorist who confessed to organising the gruesome murder of over 40 Peasant Farmers in the Village of Tahore in Bokkos LGA is reported to have died in his sleep two weeks after he was released by security agents.

Matur Malan Mashor, a resident of Gawarza Mangor of Bokkos Local Government Area in.Plateau State confirmed this report to Munatare Munashak after apprehensions grew about his release after confessing to the crimes he committed in a viral Video.

” as he was released from the custody of police he did not reach 2weeks he sleep and died at his house, I’m speaking to you from gawarza call anybody from gawarza and confirm it”. Mashor reported.

Investigation from Gawarza confirmed the incident that he has passed on in his sleep.
